It is a chronic inflammatory disease of the vulva, of benign and progressive aetiology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is about symmetrical lesions<\/strong> and may extend beyond the inguinal crease. The onset of this disease may be at puberty and peri-posmenopause.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Its aetiology can be explained by autoimmune mechanisms, chronic inflammation, infections, repeated trauma, diabetes and hormonal disturbances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The manifestation of their cutaneous symptoms are: itching<\/strong> vulvar that evolves from mild to severe (interfering with sleep as it worsens during the night), burning, stinging, pain, bleeding<\/strong>in addition to hair loss<\/strong>. Urinary symptoms that make it difficult to urinate are common, with frequent urinary symptoms such as recurrent urinary tract infections<\/strong>. Anal discomfort, pruritus and fissures may also occur at this level. Difficulty in sexual intercourse in these patients is associated with loss of sexual appetite and anorgasmia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
